Man Charged with Drug Possession in Bannock County

A man was arrested by the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, January 11, over drug possession and other charges. Authorities identified the man accused of drug possession in Bannock County as William Nolan Beasley Jr., 44, of Fort Hall.

According to the details shared by the BSCO deputies, Beasley was reported by a homeowner on the West Reservation Road in Pocatello for suspicious activity. The homeowner told the deputies that Beasley had first parked his vehicle, a black truck, close to his driveway. He then proceeded to tamper with the gate of the home.

Beasley later went back to the vehicle, drove it to an adjacent house and started to tamper with the gate of that house. Upon receiving these reports, deputies with the BSCO reached the scene to investigate. When they did, they found Beasley lying under his vehicle.

The deputies asked Beasley to come out from under the vehicle and began to question him. The deputies later reported that as they were questioning him, a glass pipe fell out of Beasley’s sweatshirt. The pipe was the kind that is typically used for smoking methamphetamine. The pipe also contained traces of a white crystalline substance. Deputies later had this substance tested and it was confirmed to be meth.

A woman also accompanied Beasley at the scene. Deputies found out that a court had previously ordered Beasley not to have any contact with the woman. However, in this instance, the woman was with Beasley willingly and she admitted that the no-contact order had been voluntarily violated by her. She was cited and then released.

The deputies took Beasley into custody for drug possession. He was booked into the Bannock County Jail with his bail set at $20,000. He has been charged with felony possession of meth, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor violating a no-contact order.
